Our Board of Directors
After retiring in 2012 from my 40 years as a registered nurse (with more than half of that time in the Public Health field), my husband, Jim, and I have been living in Crawford permanently for the past 11 years. I retired from my position as Director of Gunnison County Health in 2006 and continued to work part time as the coordinator of a six county regional healty/environmental health partnership until 2012. Delta County Public Health is a part of that West Central Public Health Partnership. I have served on the Delta County Board of Health and I am an active volunteer in the Hotchkiss/Crawford area. While I have no direct experience with ambulance services, I feel my combination of health, administrative and volunteer organizational experience will suit the nonprofit side of the North Fork Ambulance Auxiliary and I look forward to serving in this capacity.
Sue Whittlesey and her husband, Dave, own and operate High Wire Ranch where they raise bison on Redlands Mesa near Hotchkiss. They have been loyal members of the North Fork Ambulance for all of the 20 years they have lived in the area. Sue is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Colorado since 1984. She is currently the Treasurer of the Hotchkiss Community Chamber of Commerce, President of the Delta County Public Library Trust and Endowment Foundation, and active in many other local organizations. Sue has over 30 years experience serving on numerous nonprofit boards and looks forward to serving the North Fork Ambulance Auxiliary.
